surviving the weekend

Well we made it through, we had a great weekend, full of family and fireworks, food and gifts. One more party next weekend and we are through the birthdays for my big boys. Friday we had the Risenhoover Family over for food and fireworks, it turned out to be such a great afternoon with wonderful weather to boot.
Kids were up late and thought for sure they would sleep in on Saturday, well they did a little. Brenden wanted to be surprised in the morning for his birthday which meant I had to be creative at first light. GREAT!
well he was lucky, I had my thinking cap on when I woke, so I ventured out for donuts, and we woke him with a long john and candles and a birthday tune that was more out than in.
We gave Brenden his gifts, a Wii and an electric scooter. He stated it was his best birthday.
we played a round of bowling and then cleaned up fireworks while Brenden rode his scooter. The afternoon brought a 3 year old birthday party that Brenden and I shortly attended and then off to Aunt Geri and Uncle Greg's for dinner.
Today was spent basement shopping and napping, Brad is soooooooooo close to being done with the basement project, Our couches come on Wed and we have family coming again on Saturday, I Hope to get inspections done and over this week so we can clean and move in to the lower level.
Off for now, so tired, I have been pooped lately. Hope that changes soon.

Birthday boy

Well Devin started his day with cinnamon rolls and candles, Mister is 2 today!!!!
Amazing how times is just going by so fast.
We love to take the boys on an outing for their birhtday, and we decided the zoo woule be Devin's birthday outing.
We went with family, Uncle Tim, Aunt Jessica, Gavin, Peyton and Addison, along with Aunt Geri, Sam and Rachel, and of course BB went too, Big Daddy was soo busy with work and sad he was not able to get away to join our fun. We decided the kids zoo was a great place to hang and so we did. Visiting with the goats, Devin liked them alot, there was one sleeping on the wall of rocks, how those little guys hang out there is beyond me, but one sleeping goat was jolted awake by Devin romping near his resting place.
We visited the animals inside and after some time of play headed to the shooting water spouts. Devin brought his swim suit so he could run freely. Tasting the water and squealing with joy he had so much fun. He came to me asking me to take my shoes off to join in. Well I got hit with water up the middle, that was lovely, but worth it to have some fun with my kids. We played at the playground and then headed for a snack, it was a surprise that we spent 2 hours there and we were ready to head home.
Devin slept all of 10 minutes in the car right before we got home. HE woke and stayed up to play some more at home. I had so much to do to prepare for family that will be at our house on the 4th, Brenden helped out so I could get a few errands done and then we got Devin down for a late nap. After dinner Devin opened his family gifts, besides his water slide he got a pot and pan set for his kitchen, maybe now he will stay out of mine, fat chance right. We also got him a leaf blower which he played with non stop for about 3o minutes. Mo came by for a birthday visit and after some time of us all yawning it was time to send he, daddy and BB off to bed. I still up as you see am loading photos to a different viewing site, not happy with how you view pictures on my famous drop shot site, and going back to kodak for slide show viewing, I think it is so much easier. So I plan to head up soon and get some rest for tomorrow. I hope to make it to Kohls to find a sun dress and then we get to clean and cook for our 4th of July bar b que and fireworks party with the Risenhoover Family.

chuck E cheese

today was a good day, Brenden flew through the tokens faster than I thought he would, ringing up the tickets like crazy, I had his report card, Devin's birthday card for free tokens and even a coupon for tokens, had to remind Brenden that didnt mean we would spend them ALL today, so we saved some for another trip, maybe we will go next week for a morning field trip. We attended today for cousin Sam's 9th bday party. Devin liked ALL the basketball games, that is so his sport, he loves it. He kept backing up to his Mo (Grandma Risenhoover) and she would move to let him by, I had to tell her he wanted to be picked up to shoot hoops, that's what he does. He liked the rise and fall bike and he would climb the tubes only if his BB would go with him.
Brenden loves all the games, hitting some of them big for tickets and was so good to help out with Devin. He is a great big brother.
We all came home and took a most needed nap, then ran to Toys R Us for a few gifts, Devin is turning 2 tomorrow, we plan to hit the Zoo first thing in the morning, rain or shine.
I have finished my clients for the night and watching Ghost Hunters now.
I was hoping to hit the fireworks stand tonight and Kohls for a few sun dresses, but big daddy is STILL at work, OMG, and I thought he would be home tonight at a decent time, Oh well, maybe Devin will go down and I can run up leaving BB in charge.
Wishful thinking right!

BUSY WEEK

so this is our busy week, Devin will be turning 2 on Thursday and Brenden 12 on Saturday, My boys are so amazing to me and how fast they change and grow. They were great kids today, that was a blessing, since we were so swamped , I worked today and this evening, Brad's mom came out to help when I went out to work, even got to run to the store on my own, thats crazy.
so this week includes so much stuff, Tuesday dogs get haircuts, kids go to grandmas while I work, Brad's nephew has a birthday and party Wed, and I work, Thursday is Devin's zoo outing and bday, Friday is a party here for the foruth with Brad's dad who will be in from Indiana to celebrate allllll the bdays, (Brad's brother Tim is in July too) Saturday we have a friends twins bday party and its BRenden's bday and dinner at Brad's brothers, then Sunday, we may just be working on finishing the basement, and breathing
TODAY, I started working at 12 on clients, and before that Devin and I had breakfast, cleaned the basement from Brad's working down there this weekend and the mess that was left over, that included the patio, it was trashed, so we cleaned it all up, caught up on some pictures for our myspace pages, started laundry, I asked Brenden to help with some salon towels, he brought up my hamper and I started with clients, he came back I don't know how much later with folded towels, I was too busy I sent him to lay them in the office, later I came up stairs and saw dirty salon towels on my bedroom floor, omg, that means hair on my floor, I went back downstairs to ask him not to dump that hamper in my room, it goes straight to the laundry room, I came back up to finish washing the towels and thought I will put the load in the dryer, wait no wet towels, open the dryer and it is the load I did this morning, he didnt wash anything, he dumped the dirty towels and folded them, DORK!!!!!!!!!!!!
so I got the dirty folded towels and got those going, my phone rang off the hook today with clients trying to get in, plans being made for the week, I got a call back from one I placed over the weekend to find out about the laws on electric scooters, well they are illegal, we are getting one for Brenden, it came to me that it would be a great way for him to get around with his friends when traveling long bike rides. Sgt Plum ( I feel like I am playing a game of clue when I say his name, sorry) said we had a great excuse, we will have to deal with it as it comes, if it does, they were not out to target kids on scooters to be honest. But they should not bully us too much if Brenden is responsible, I let him know we ordered him a medical alert wrist band and I told them I would attach info to the scooter, he said that would be fine. Oh for those that dont know I wont get into tooooo much detail, I have a heart condition and now my oldest has been diagnosed with the same condition, you can learn more by going to www.4hcm.org , too much to type right now, but this scooter would be soooo wonderful for him to have, he is excited at the thought of this. Shoot who wouldnt be.
So a busy week ahead, either I am bored out of my mind and depressed, or flying around like a chicken. I feel like now i am talking in circles, I'm pooped......
